Can you hear L'Appel de Cthulhu?
"That is not dead which can eternal lie, and with strange aeons even death may die."
— H.P. Lovecraft
The Great Old Ones ruled the Earth for an eternity before the rise of mankind. Remnants of their cyclopean cities can still be found on islands lost in the middle of the ocean, beneath desert dunes, and in the frozen wastelands of the poles. They came from the stars. Today, they lie dormant in the depths of the earth or beneath the seas. When the stars align, they will walk the world once more.
The L'Appel de Cthulhu roleplaying game plunges you into secrets, mysteries, and horror inspired by the work of H.P. Lovecraft. As courageous investigators, you will visit strange and dangerous locations, uncover vile plots, and stand against the horrors of the Cthulhu Mythos. You will encounter dreadful entities that threaten your sanity, as well as monsters and deranged cultists. In the pages of ancient tomes, you will stumble upon secrets that humanity was never meant to discover. The fate of the world will rest in your hands and those of your companions.
A copy of this book is required to play L'Appel de Cthulhu; it is reserved for the Gardien des Arcanes. The other players, in turn, must each own at least one copy of the Manuel de l'Investigateur, which contains the advanced rules for character creation, skills, occupations, equipment, and more.
This book, designed for L'Appel de Cthulhu 7th Edition, is backward-compatible with all titles currently available in the line.
