Asmodee Canada and Lion Rampant Imports Merger FAQ

Here you will find the answers to some frequently asked questions about the merger of Asmodee Canada and Lion Rampant Imports.

 

What is the timing of the merger?

The merger will happen on April 1, 2025.

 

Will the merger cause any service interruptions?

There will be an ordering and shipping blackout from March 29 – 31 as we get our new website up and running. Everything should be back online as of April 1st.

 

Do I need to create a new password on the new website?

Around April 1st, you will be sent an email with a temporary password. When you first log into the new website, you should change this password to one of your choosing.

 

Following the merger, who will be my account manager?

The team is working on the new organizational structure. Some account managers will remain the same and some will change. You will find out who your account manager is before April 1st.

 

Will there be changes to customer service?

Both Asmodee Canada and Lion Rampant Imports have high standards for customer service. Under the new organization, these standards will be maintained and our performance continuously improved upon.

 

Will the terms and conditions change?

The terms and conditions will be reviewed. The new terms and conditions will be announced before April 1st and also posted on the new website.

 

Will the terms of existing contracts be honored post-merger?

Terms and conditions are being reviewed and will be shared with you as soon as possible.

 

Are there any new contractual terms that retailers will need to accept?

Yes, the updated terms and conditions will need to be accepted when retailers log into the new website.

 

How will payment terms and credit policies change as a result of the merger?

This will be addressed in the new terms and conditions, which will be shared with you as soon as possible. To note, most customers will keep the same payment terms. Any customers for whom payment terms will change, will be contacted by their account manager directly.

 

Will the merger impact my pricing?

Pricing should not change across most of the catalogue. The only impact should be seen on products sold by both companies, such as FFG’s lines, where pricing will be harmonized. We are also working on a new loyalty program in time for the merger, which may have a positive impact on pricing. Your account manager will share the loyalty program with you as soon as possible.

 

Will I have access to my purchase history?

The new website will not give access to purchase history, however, account managers will have access to your purchase history and will be able to provide that to you in an Excel or PDF document.

 

Will I have access to the same product catalogues?

Yes, all Lion Rampant and Asmodee products will fall into a unique catalogue under Asmodee Canada.

 

Are there any potential changes in the focus of the offering (e.g., more strategy games, fewer family games)?

The two company catalogues will be combined but there should not be any changes to the overall product offering.

 

Are there any potential new partnerships or collaborations that the merged company may pursue that could impact retailers?

We are combining our reach and collaborations in the industry and are excited about the potential new opportunities for partnerships and collaborations that the new structure will bring.

 

Will there be more backorders under the new structure?

Being one company should not increase the level of stock shortages. We’re continuously striving to offer balance between our offering and the demand from our customers.

 

Will the Vaudreuil warehouse be able to handle the extra workload?

Yes, the Vaudreuil facility is modernized and optimized, and a robust and dynamic system is in place to ensure timely deliveries. In addition, warehouse personnel is being increased to meet the new demand.

 

Will shipping take longer after the merger?

Shipping after the merger should be faster and more streamlined because all products will come from a single warehouse and customers will not have to wait for deliveries from multiple locations.
