The Mounthaven Support units feature two complementary offensive roles. The Headhunter tracks a designated target and attacks it from a distance with great precision. The Bombardier provides very long-range artillery support, capable of striking multiple units and attacking without line of sight.
Headhunter: eliminate a priority target
The Headhunter is an offensive support character and sniper designed to neutralise a priority enemy threat. Their role is to designate an enemy unit, then pursue it until it is eliminated.
Upon deployment, ‘Study the Prey’ allows him to choose an enemy unit as a declared target. His offensive abilities are then activated when he attacks that target.
The ‘Hunt the Prey’ ability grants him his attack modifier at no stress cost. With ‘Orichalcum Bullets’, the opponent can only negate his hits using Hollow Blocks.
His ranged attack can deal direct damage to the declared target and add extra hits. His defence remains modest, but ‘Scout’ and ‘Preferred Terrain’ help him reposition to maintain a line of sight.
Bombardier: striking from very long range
The Bombardier is an offensive support character specialising in heavy artillery. He attacks enemy formations from a distance, inflicting damage and stress on them.
‘Volcanic Eruption’ is a ranged attack with a range of 18 strides. It hits its target and inflicts 1 damage on all units within a 7-stride radius of it.
The ‘Risgallum Projectiles’ ability enhances each shot based on the number of troops in the targeted unit. It also inflicts additional stress if the attack deals at least 1 damage.
The Bombardier has a modest combat profile and very limited movement. However, it can attack without line of sight, allowing it to remain a threat from a great distance.
