An immediate reaction to protect allies
The ‘Surprise Attack’ ability is Alula’s primary defensive tool. Once per round, when an enemy unit engages an ally within 12 paces, Alula automatically moves next to the enemy, applies the ‘Disarmed’ condition to them and makes an opportunity attack.
This reaction helps to support exposed allied units, particularly mages or artillery units. It weakens the attacker whilst repositioning Alula in the immediate vicinity of the engagement.
A shared line of sight with the entire army
With ‘Forward Observer’, all allied units can trace their line of sight to targets visible to Alula. This ability allows them to charge, fire or cast spells at concealed units that Alula is able to see.
Positioned at the front, Alula thus provides vital information to the rest of the army and helps deter enemy attacks.
