In this adventure, investigators have two days to stop the unexplained phenomena affecting the staff and guests of Cairo's most luxurious hotel.Farce Macabre combines a free-form investigative structure with programmed events, so that the game experience is different for each group and the scenario can be easily replayed. What's more, thanks to the tools at his disposal, the Keeper can add random elements to the plot at any time without ever losing the thread of the story. In this race against time, investigators will discover secrets buried since ancient Egypt, attend a sumptuous costume party, see the premiere of the film Häxan (Witchcraft Through the Ages), meet real-world personalities (archaeologist Howard Carter, King Fouad I of Egypt, Aga Khan III, director Benjamin Christensen, or even Agatha Christie and Winston Churchill) and reconnect with familiar faces from The Call of Cthulhu. But they could also miss out on all that, and uncover another mystery to investigate.
